Njide, CEO of Oui Wee Designs. She has participated in over 30 shows and designer more than 500 garments for performances in the Chicago area in collaboration with many of underground theaters, Hair Expos, boutiques & local universities. Attended the Illinois Institute of Art majoring in Fashion Production. Graduated from the Women's Self Employment Project in Chicago, received a Certificate in Business Entrepreneurship. Studied at Chicago Green Tech Center for Interior Design earning a Certificate in Green Design. She spent 5 years (1999-2003), as the Assistant Designer of Roman Bailey of The Loft 1011.
Njide has been designing and constructing garments in Chicago over 20 years. Her work has appeared onstage in Today's Black Woman Expo, Holiday Matteson Convention Center Extreme Hair Explosion, Johnny Coleman Life Story Music and Bronner Brother Hair Show in Atlanta and Tributes in Millennium Park to name just a few. Past clients include Commissioner Bobbi Steele, Phil Cohran, Soft Sheen, Transit Night Club, Down Town Julie Brown of Chicago, N.C.N.W. and more. She has extensive experience draping and creating fun wear for theaters. Njide believes custom tailoring can be for everyone.
